Students who need proof of progress: pre-med, engineering, law, business, high school AP/IB, bootcamps, and anyone juggling multiple courses or exams.
Yes, you can download it free on the App Store. The free tier gives limited tracking; subscriptions unlock unlimited logging and advanced analytics.
EstudyLog is built for iPhone and iPad. Your sessions, courses, and grades sync across your Apple devices via iCloud.
No. You can start and stop timers offline. When you reconnect, we sync your data and update your analytics automatically.
We only collect study activity to power features like insights and goal tracking. You can export or delete your data anytime from Settings.
No. You can start a timer, close the app completely, and put your phone away to focus. When you finish, just open the app and stop the session. The timer runs in the background automatically.
No. While your study history and stats sync across all devices, the active timer only runs on the device you started it on.
Don't worry, your data is saved safely. Sometimes the calculation engine takes a moment. Just relaunch the app, and your dashboard charts will populate fully.
Yes. Tap the active Timer Card on the dashboard to open the session details. You can add notes there without stopping the clock.
Go to the specific Course page and tap Edit at the top. Scroll to the Outline section and paste your syllabus there. We will automatically extract the topics for you.
If the auto-parsing fails, you can add topics manually in the Course Edit screen. Just type your topics separated by commas (e.g., "Cells, Mitosis, Genetics") and we will format them correctly.
To protect your study history (total hours and sessions), courses cannot be fully deleted. Instead, you can Archive it. Tap the "Play" button on the Course screen and change the status to "Archived" or "Completed."
No. Archiving simply hides the course from your active dashboard. All your session data and total hours remain saved in your analytics.
On the Course screen, tap the Graduation Cap icon at the top. If the screen is empty, you need to add your quizzes/exams first via the "Edit Course" menu.
You must define the assessment first. Go to Edit Course and tap "Add Quiz or Test Date." Once created, it will appear in the Grade Calculator. Ensure your total weights add up to 100%.
The progress bar requires a specific deadline. Make sure you have set a Final Exam Date in the course settings rather than just a general goal.
We infer the time needed based on the days remaining until your Final Exam. If you haven't set an exam date, we estimate the end of the semester based on your timezone. For accuracy, please set a Final Exam date.
In version 1.3, we deprecated the old Daily Plan and replaced it with the new Insights engine. If you used that feature heavily, please reach out to us—we are collecting feedback on potentially bringing it back.
Deleting the app does not cancel the billing. You must go to your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, find EstudyLog, and cancel it there.
Open the EstudyLog app, go to Settings > Manage Subscriptions, and tap "See All Plans." You can switch your plan there.
We are sorry for the glitch. Please email support@estudylog.com immediately, and we will manually fix your status.
If your subscription expired, you are now on the Free tier, which has a limit on the number of active sessions/courses. You will need to resubscribe to unlock unlimited logging.
Please email support@estudylog.com. We may be able to provide an alternative solution for your region.
